Check-In & Check-Out Procedures


Check-In is at the Hopper Real Estate ~ Outer Cape office between 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. If you will be arriving later than 5:00 pm please call us to let us know if you will be arriving after 5:00 p.m. and we will put your arrival package in the box outside Hopper Real Estate’s main office door. We have a lot of late arrivals so please make sure you choose the package with your name on it.

Payment is due in full before you can begin your rental. On day of arrival we only accept cash, money orders, certified bank checks or traveler’s checks.

Please note, when you arrive at your rental property we request you inspect it. If you find a problem please call us immediately. Cleaning problems must be reported within 24 hours of check-in for us to provide assistance.


Additional information will be provided to you at Check-In. In general we ask the following:

  • Please perform basic cleaning (e.g. broom swept floors and vacuumed carpets, all countertops wiped down, refrigerator emptied). Please remember that this is someone’s home and should be treated as if it were your own.
  • Please comply with the 10:00 AM check-out time. Please be considerate of the cleaner’s schedule and the incoming tenants
  • Please return your keys to our office.

Noncompliance with our Check-Out Requirements may impact your ability to make future reservations and/or impact the return of all or a portion of your refundable security deposit.

Please note: Hopper Real Estate~Outer Cape Rentals is not responsible for lost, stolen or forgotten items. If items are returned to our office, we will ship them to you at your expense.
