2014 Cape Cod November Events
November.
The eleventh month of the year, even though the name “Novem” in Latin means nine. It is the month of celebration, of thankfulness, of mindfulness. November is also Sweet Potato Awareness month. For the cooler nights you might want to try Spicy Sweet Potato and Coconut Soup for something different. We’ve had a really mild fall this year, with lovely warm days and cool nights. Soon enough the trend will change to winter. But not just yet.
Now is the time of the swish of drying leaves as the breeze stirs them to rustling, those that still cling to the trees that is. A light jacket is all you need when walking along the sun soaked bike paths. A rare sound of a lawn mower hangs in the distance, perhaps a leaf blower as well. Smiles are held with ease as you pass another, the sun still calls… beckoning your presence. A last hurrah before the cooler days come.
Check out this year’s November Events : Cape Cod November Events. We’ll see you there.
2014 Cape Cod October Events
October.
Lazy hot days of summer now turn to the cool nights of Autumn. The air begins to cool, brisk mornings turn to cool days and nights. Leaves begin to change their colors, russets, golds and crimsons are painted with a slow hand among the greens of the trees. Each day brings more brilliant hues against the background of the signature azure Cape Cod sky.
October brings more than the colors of the trees, the fall harvest has started. Gourds, apples, squash, onions, garlic, fragrant hays, cranberries and of course the pumpkins. Cranberry, the official berry of Cape Cod. Pumpkin, the official flavor of October. With a variable plethora of culinary delights to take your pick from be it coffee, donuts, muffins, pie, cake, cheesecake, cookies, tarts, ice cream, dips, breads and soups!
Events abound all across the Cape as well. Each with their own unique color and flair. Take a look to see what you can do while you are here. >> Fall Cape Cod Events <<

Summer Weather
Weather can be unpredictable, especially here on Cape Cod.
Always check the weather before going out to the beach for the day.
What was predicted the night before will not always be the same as morning weather predictions.
Here are some tips and information for keeping safe while enjoying your vacation.
SEVERE WEATHER WATCHES VS. WARNINGS
Do you know the difference between a severe thunderstorm watch and a severe thunderstorm warning?
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means that the potential exists for the development of thunderstorms which may produce large hail or damaging winds. When a watch is issued, you should go about your normal activities, but keep an eye to the sky and an ear to the National Weather Service’s weather radio or local radio and television stations for further updates and possible warnings.
A Severe Thunderstorm Warning, on the other hand, means that a severe thunderstorm is occurring or is imminent based on doppler radar information. You should move indoors to a place of safety.

To Spring or Not to Spring (Clean)
To Spring or Not to Spring, that is the question.
The Ides of March have passed, taking along with it the chill of winter’s touch. The sun’s shining, the birds are signing, even the crickets are chirping in the early evenings now. It’s about time that Spring finally came, it seems that it took forever to get here. As we begin to open our homes to the warmer air draw back the heavy curtains to let in the light the dust from the long and brutal winter stir, sparkling in the rays of sunlight. Wait, dust?! Company’s coming to the Cape! Alas it’s time again, the time of the Spring Cleaning. Not sure where to start? Here’s a Spring Check List that you can use to help with that. Click Here to Download.
Happy Spring Cape Cod!
