From all of us here at Hopper Real Estate | Outer Cape Rentals we wish you and yours the very best this Holiday Season!
Per the Eastham Public Library:
… in a town called Eastham, not so very far away ~ just a mere rabbit’s hop and frog’s leap heading eastward down Route 6 ~ a quirky, homespun harvest celebration sprouted at the end of the 2003 growing season. The Eastham Turnip Festival sent forth deep roots, the roots held fast, and a turnip tradition blossomed. News of this Turnip Extravaganza spread from the Nickerson turnip fields to all with a hankering for an especially mild and sweet vegetable treat. And here we are in our 15th year …
Join turnip fans on Saturday November 17th to pay homage to the hometown favorite of all root vegetables ~ the Eastham Turnip! You’ll soon discover what the turnip buzz is all about!
This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Eastham Library along with Seamen’s Bank, Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank and the Eastham Cultural Council.

Nauset Light Beach has stepped back in time to when there were no stairs to the beach. In the past few years the National Seashore beaches in Eastham have been the hardest hit by erosion from storms. In 2015 eighteen feet of sandy bluff was lost from Nauset Light Beach and an additional ten feet was lost in 2016. Instead of continually replacing the tall wooden staircase to the beach that wash away every winter, the decision was made to remove the stairs and create a walking path similar to the one at neighboring Coast Guard Beach. In October of 2017 the bathhouse, restrooms, and stairs were demolished and a winding sloping path the length of two football fields began. The bathhouse and restrooms will eventually be rebuilt but for now Nauset Light Beach is back to nature.
Take a walk this summer down the new path to Nauset Light Beach, Eastham, MA and enjoy the splendor of the constantly changing landscape of Cape Cod’s National Seashore. Hopper Real Estate currently has many prime weeks for rent in Eastham so call 508-255-3560, email us email@example.com, or visit us online www.hoppercapecod.com to book your vacation on the Outer Cape.
Is it too early to think Spring? According to the Groundhog we still have a while until Spring. New Year flew by. So did January. Now comes the month of February. It’s still cold out but the hearts are still warm. The Valentine hearts! You can always take a bite out of a chocolate heart. Speaking of chocolates, did you hear that the Chocolate Café has bought the old Nauset Market located at the corner of Railroad Ave and Route 6, just down from our office here in Eastham, MA? The windows are now all papered up and they are moving in and doing work on it to get it ready for the coming summer season. The word is besides the wonderful chocolate and confectionary delights there will be breakfast sandwiches and other tasty treats! Now who doesn’t love good food within walking distance of your office. We’re excited to see what they offer and will update you as the opening nears. I’d plan on stopping by on the way to our office this summer, you may just be surprised about what they have in store for you.
